"Druid, where's my car?"
(Friday, August 31, 2007)
Carrie Ann, the Patron Saint of Cheerleaders, made me laugh today. The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy rocks my socks. :) Ellen Degeneres too. She's so gay and crushable. And since I'm in the subject of gayness and mindless TV, I watch America's Next Top Model because of the pretty pictures. I watch Blood+ and Air Gear because maybe I want to be an air-trecking vampire or something.
I've been stalking some journalist bloggers and they talk about just the most important things in the world! Spouting everyday philosophy people needs to hear. It's impressive and embarrassing on my part because, c'mon, I talk about cartoons. What is up with me?
Fight! Because only dead fish swim with the current! And I'll keep telling myself this till it sinks in.
Bathroom girl
(Friday, August 10, 2007)
I'm haunted by Jeffrey Eugenides's The Virgin Suicides. Cecilia Lisbon particularly. I thoroughly enjoyed the narrative and the goosebumps.
"What are you doing here, honey? You’re not even old enough to know how bad life gets."
And it was then Cecilia gave orally what was to be her only form of suicide note, and a useless one at that, because she was going to live: "Obviously, Doctor," she said, "you"ve never been a thirteen-year-old girl."
Hysteria with an audience

"
People don't want their lives fixed. Nobody wants their problems solved. Their dramas. Their distractions. Their stories resolved. Their messes cleaned up. Because what would they have left. Just the big scary unknown." - Chuck Palahniuk
