Hopping into puddles
(Sunday, May 20, 2007)
All summer I've been thinking and planning of going away. Not really "travel" but just "go away" like on a road trip to somewhere I've never been, eat in a little seaside shop, see interesting things, get lost and enjoy it. You know, just have all sorts of spontaneous and crazy adventures I'll blog about and never forget. Sadly, summer is about to end and it feels like a total vacation bust.
I'm actually jealous of the people who vacationed off somewhere and came home with so many nice stories and photos. My aunt told me in one of our dinner conversations about life and such and such, that she would really like to travel to Italy. She's single and a very religious person and would love nothing else than to visit Rome for a pilgrimage. And you can tell that she really wants it to happen. But taking care of our Lola takes so much of her time and even if she has the means, she can't. My aunt's about 50+ years old and I hope that she'll be able to go on her pilgrimage soon because she deserves it. If there's anyone who needs rest and alone time, it's her.
As for me, I hope the opportunity to make my get away comes soon too.
